DUE ON THURSDAY... Magazine sales

Info was sent home after the game on Friday that explains how to complete the forms and turn in all money. Please ask your child for the info and make sure you follow all instructions given if you wish complete credit. Failure to do so and you will lose a percentage of your profits!!!

DUE ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 5... Mary Kay cosmetic orders

Kaitlyn Schwab's mom has graciously agreed to give a LARGE percentage of the profits from anything sold to your child for their trip. Please just complete the pink forms that were attached to the mag turn-in info and have it back by October 5.

CHICK FIL A CALENDARS...

The cows are calling... come get them!!!! They close down in two weeks on October 5!

AND ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES...

You should be receiving coupons for various restaurants who are helping with our "spirit" nights. Please print and give to your friends, family, and neighbors and ask them to eat at those establishments on those nights and we get a percentage of the profits. KEY: THE MUST HAVE THE COUPON AND MENTION OUR NAME!!! Please use these coupons and let's see the money roll in. REMEMBER: THIS HELPS YOU!!!!

Anyone wising to assist Esther Clark with all of these opportunities please let us know. She has worked to get all this organized and she is still finding more restaurants who wish to assist. But she does need some help! Got some new contacts? Contact her!

You will be receiving MUCH from us electronically. I know people do not like SPAM garbage in their emails but our information is sent FOR YOU. I do not consider it SPAM or TRASH. It is coupons to help the band along with these TOR updates. They will be sent to all so all can keep up with what is happening. If you got any better ideas of how to reach a traveling party of 370, I am all ears!

BALLGAME...

Much improved show on last Friday! Not there yet but better... we could have done the entire show but it was a better PR move to welcome our visit band instead.

But not happy with our "character" education issues... following directions, using manners, listening, etc. Those topics will be addressed this week. I am sure you parents did not raise your child to NOT say thank you when a volunteer adult assisted them. In fact I heard MORE THANK YOUS from the visiting band (only 40 students) that I heard from MY students all night. We will improve on this!

EXTRA MONEY...

Thank you to all the parents who have been finding money in the community. I would ask THAT ALL PARENTS make a point to find one organization in the community who can assist us. If we do that, then we can continue to drop all the costs. Just this week alone, I have had close to $5,000 come across my desk from various organizations in the area. PLEASE KEEP IT UP AND HELP!

AND THANKS TO ALL...

On the way in which you returned all the air seats, QM dinner, and room assignments! It has really been quite easy to get this all done even though it does take hours of work. Just to organize and recheck the Queen Mary dinner took 8 hours of my time on a Saturday. So you can see what has to be done. Course someone said... why don't you let someone else help you? But as my mom once said... are you reading this mom... if you want something done right... do it yourself.

This weekend will be air seats... and rehearsals for "A CHRISTMAS CAROL". Christmas carols in September... I am thrilled... bah humbug!

Thank you for getting it all in. I will organize it even though it will take countless hours. You handle getting your money in and I will organize and get it all to the travel agent and airlines.

PARADE REHEARSAL UPDATE...

Below you will see the updated listed parade rehearsal dates as we begin the push for the Raleigh Christmas Parade which will eventually lead to the TOR experience. You know that we have a few 8th grade siblings who will be joining us for both parades and since we cannot get them out of school to rehearse with us, we must add some afternoon rehearsals. This is basically the same schedule that was released in August at our covered dish supper but here is the OFFICIAL schedule. All are expected to meet it.

Stamina and preparation for a 6-mile parade are just as important as music. Many of these rehearsal listed above are for that purpose. MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW and ask for NO absences!

We will leave no early than 1:00 PM (probably closer to 2-3 PM) and return no later than midnight each day. More to follow the closer we get!

ACCOUNT SHEETS...

Coming home on Tuesday. Please double check and see where you are. On that sheet you should see AT LEAST $750.00 per person who is making the trip. If you are short, you have until October 1, 2007 to solve it.

MANDATORY MEETING...

Just a reminder... Sunday December 16 at 3 PM... Christmas/Holiday Concert followed by the meeting about the trip. All details are released at that time. AT LEAST one parent with your child! Concert will be 3:00-4:00 PM with the meeting from 4:15 -5:00 PM. Great time to give me my Christmas present!!!!

I think that is it! Thanks for all the support. I greatly appreciate the parents who have been volunteering their time at games and helping us. To those who will be chaperoning in the next few weeks, your insurance papers should be attached to the account sheet. Please follow the instructions given.
