"A WEEK OF GIVING THANKS"
As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday week, there are so many to thank. So here we go.
BAND MEMBERS
We thank them for their 5-mile parade hike on Saturday. Even though we were all a little tired, we found out that we can do this thing call the ROSE PARADE. And doing the parade twice was really cool thing. The people were so appreciative and really enjoyed hearing us twice! Tons of compliments from the community too!!

TO PARENTS WHO WALKED AND ASSISTED US
We thank you for being there and solving any problems if they were to arise.
TO UNIFORM PARENTS WHO CHECKED US IN AFTER THE PARADE
And then took all the uniforms to the cleaners so they will be in great shape in December and January in California.
TO THE CITY OF RALEIGH
They were the ones along with Merchants Association who allowed us to do the parade twice.
TO EVERYONE WHO HAS FORWARDED THEIR FINAL TOR PAYMENT
You are making my life much easier! If it is now overdue, it would be strongly advised to get it in NOW before the 10% late service charge is added to your balance. Travel agent rules---not mine! Besides---the deadline was November 16, 2007. Twenty five of you are now delinquent!
TO THE FRUIT PARENT AUDITORS
Thanks for your efforts in tallying all our orders to assist us I getting all our funds together!
TO ALL THE PARENTS WHO WERE ON THE PARADE ROUTE
Please tell us there was a huge difference in our program and others!!!
I have a certain way I do things and I fell you probably noticed a huge difference watching the parade. Other bands whether they choose not to work as hard as or do not have the same resources we do maybe did not look as good. I will continue to complain until it is perfect ... for the WHOLE WORLD to see on January 1, 2008!!!

SPIRIT NIGHTS AT AREA RESTAURANTS
Thanks to all who have been involved! It has helped raise more needed funds.
Barnes and Noble Bookstores is coming up in December! Make sure you give out the flyers being sent and ask people to shop that day at BN.
It will assist us in generating more needed funds!
ANYONE ELSE I NEED TO THANK? If so, then thank you!!! We cannot do it without you! Hope you enjoyed the new color guard uniforms and parade banner that we unveiled at the parade. The parade was a dry run to make sure that we know what we need to do in the next 6 weeks.
OTHER QUICK REMINDERS:
... fruit delivery day is Saturday December 1. AND THERE ARE NO EXCUSES!
... parade rehearsals do not resume until the week of December 3.
... personal project day is Thursday, December 6---early release!!! So our schedule that week will change slightly so all can leave at noon on that day
... also thinking about moving the Saturday December 15 last 6 mile march to Friday,
December 15 after school so all can have Saturday off! Your thoughts?
... review the calendar so you know the concert, field, and parade rehearsal schedules!!
We have no room for errors!!!! You need to attend everything!!! It's gonna get hectic!!
... Christmas Concert on Sunday December 16 at 3 PM. TOR meeting to follow. At least one parent in attendance with your child to receive all the info regarding the trip.

If you know of anyone who can assist, please tell them to SHOW US THE MONEY! I am trying to keep my "slush" fund going so that if there is an added expense, it is not passed on to you!
I am not sure if you will receive another update between now and December 16. So please be at our concert and then the meeting and I will be able to HOPEFULLY answer all the questions you want to know about the upcoming TOR experience! As I said in an early correspondence ... "in due time my little pretty ... in due time." All the really important stuff will be compiled over the Thanksgiving holidays and given to you on December 16^th !
